tuning

It is an artistic or spiritual discipline - and a willful choice - to be and remain naive, unschooled in something. Likewise it is an artistic or spiritual discipline to develop into craft, which will happen by doing the thing, again and again. The trick is to know when to remain willfully naive, dumb and simple about something, and when to get crafty.

This is an area where we tend to make judgements about others' artistic and spiritual disciplines, impulses and choices, but how can we know about someone else's calibrations, their fine tuning?

This week's rite uses an excerpt from the audio composition "Piano Tuning" by Stefan, from his podcast Earful.
